This year, Cigna is expecting its MA customer base to grow by around 13% to 16%. Medicare Advantage plans are increasingly popular. The good news is that there’s still a decent selection of HMO-SNP and other subtypes of Medicare Advantage plans. Limited Variety: Most of Cigna’s MA plans are HMOs.Limited Geographical Availability: Cigna’s Medicare Advantage offerings are only available in 18 states.Rewards: Cigna incentivizes customers to take control of their health by offering gift cards for wellness activities and covering various preventative care expenses, such as colorectal cancer screenings and mammograms.Cigna also offers six stand-alone Medicare Part D prescription drug plans in all 50 states. Extra Benefits: Many of Cigna’s plans include behavioral health coverage, preventative care, a healthy rewards program, and a pharmacy network.Comprehensive: Cigna’s MA plans cover the basic hospital and medical insurance needs covered by Original Medicare, plus offer extra perks like dental, vision, and hearing coverage.Many of Cigna’s plans (89 percent) include a $0 copay for primary care office visits. Affordable: Cigna offers Medicare Advantage plans with low-cost or $0 monthly premiums.
